When?

Saturday 21st September 2002 - 1pm to 9pm
 
Notice
There has been a fantastic response.
It suggests that this is going to be a busy event.
Luckily there are 2 floors in the pubs.
Both floors have good bars and the upper bar has a
large screen T.V. on which something retro will be playing.
 

Whats Going On Then?

From 1pm on Saturday 21st September we are having
a Retro-Game Festival.
The Lower bar of the pub is being converted into an
old computer game shed!
Up and running and for you to play on is:
a Commodore 64, Vic 20, Spectrum, Atari 800, Atari ST and an Amiga

+ for those who like a mix of past and present we also have;
a N64, PSone, Sega Saturn, Atari 2600 and a MegaDrive.
Various PCs will be playing too.
Hi-Score Competitions with some *nice* prizes.
Full Bar and Food Available All Day!

some CDs to play too.
But bring copies not the originals,
in case they get lost or used as a beer mat!
Bring it and play it!

Also on the Saturday I will have a stall running
with absolutely TONS of computer books, Games and applications.
Prices are mad too, 50p to £2 !! easy eh!

Baa Food is available all day, the menu is as follows:

Chips £1.50
Sausage and Chips £3.00
Scampi and Chips £3.00
Chicken Nuggets and Chips £3.00

Sandwiches are all £2.50
Ham and Tomato
Cheese and Onion
Egg Mayonaise
Tuna Mayonaise

Hot Dogs £2.50 - with Chips £3.25

Platters containing 8 chicken Nuggets, 8 Scampi,
8 Mushrooms, 5 Onion Rings are going for £5

How to get There

MAP LINK

BY BUS: any number 6 or 6a (Wolvercote) from Magdalen Street,
outside Debenhams, will drop you almost outside.
BY TAXI: a cab from the City Center or Oxford Rail Station will
cost around £4-£5.
BY FOOT: walk north from the city center through St.Giles and
take the left fork in the road, then walk up WoodStock Road
for 10 minutes.
BY CAR: You are heading for North Oxford.
If you are coming in from the M40 or A34 then the route is quite simple:

M40 FROM LONDON: Take Jct 8 and follow A40
until you get to a roundabout(Headington).
Take the 3rd exit (turning right), follow to next roundabout and go straight over.
At next roundabout turn left (Woodstock Road) and follow the road for
about 2 miles. Keep an eye out for the Horse and Jockey as it is very easy
to see and will be on your right.

M40 FROM BIRMINGHAM: take M40 jct 9 (Bicester)
and at roundabout take the 3rd exit.
This puts you on the A34.
Follow A34 until you see the sign for PearTree Interchange and Park and Ride.
Take this junction. Follow past the Park and Ride to the roundabout.
At roundabout go straight over (3rd exit Woodstock Road)
and follow the road for about 2 miles.
Keep an eye out for the Horse and Jockey as it is very easy to see
and will be on your right.

There is only a limited number of parking spaces at the pub
but parking can be found on a variety of roads around the pub.
