These pages show the strip down of the Thompson, ready for the PR kit.
There are two sets of images. One set is fairly small file sizes (135KB) for easy viewing.
The other set are large (1.4MB) high resolution images, suitable for printing to A4 size.

| This is the lock pin that holds the gun receiver halves together |

| Press it down with a screwdriver or similar |

| Push the top half over the pin, then about an inch more |

| You may need to slide the bolt to help the removal of the two halves |

| Sliding and lifting them apart. The lock pin is loose, so keep it in a safe place for later. |

| Then unscrew the plate inside rear of the top half |

| Remove the small piece under that |

| Then remove the rear sight |

| You now have the finished parts ready for the PR kit. :-) |
